Position Overview
A well-established, mission-driven community organization in Houston is seeking a highly organized and proactive Director of Operations & Administration to oversee day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for managing financial administration, membership services, and facility operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for a dynamic and engaged member-based community.
This is a key leadership position that works closely with senior leadership and lay leaders to support the organization’s mission and daily functioning.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Facilities
· Oversee daily operations and building usage
· Coordinate event logistics, room scheduling, and facility needs
· Manage vendors, maintenance, and security operations
Membership & Member Services
· Manage member accounts, including dues, billing, and collections
· Serve as a primary point of contact for member inquiries
· Maintain accurate membership records and database
Finance & Budgeting
· Oversee budgeting and track income and expenses
· Manage accounts receivable and payable
· Prepare financial reports for leadership
· Coordinate with external accountants or bookkeepers
Events & Programs
· Coordinate logistics for community events and lifecycle celebrations
· Serve as liaison between members, staff, and vendors

Qualifications
· Strong organizational and operational management skills
· Experience with budgeting, finance, or accounting preferred
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
· Experience in a nonprofit, membership-based, or community-focused organization preferred (experience in faith-based organizations is a plus)
